Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that Iran has obtained intelligence showing that Saudi Arabia is actively involved in activities promoting terrorism in Iran’s eastern and western border areas, reported Tehran Times (Iran).

“We have intelligence that Saudi Arabia is actively engaged in promoting terrorist groups,” Zarif told the opening of the Oslo Forum in Norway.
Daesh, which draws its ideology from Saudi-inspired Wahhabism, claimed responsibility for twin attacks in Tehran on June 7 which left 17 people dead and 56 others wounded.

One day prior to the terrorist attacks in Tehran, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said Iran had to be “punished” for what he called “its interference in the region.” Also, on May 2 Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman outrageously claimed that Iran is seeking to take over Islamic holy sites in Saudi Arabia and “we won’t wait for the battle to be in Saudi Arabia… we’ll work so that the battle is for them in Iran.”

Though the crown prince did not elaborate on his remarks, analysts say it cannot be anything other than doing terrorist activities inside Iran.
Zarif told the Oslo forum that such remarks are a “direct threat and very dangerous provocation”.

On Tuesday, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Saudi Arabia has been behind June 7 terrorist attacks in Tehran, reported Xinhua News Agency 8China9.

"We have obtained accurate intelligence that Saudi Arabia supported the terrorists and asked them to carry out attacks in Iran," Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari was quoted as saying by semi-official Mehr news agency.

In the meantime, deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brig. Gen. Massoud Jazayeri said Tuesday that Saudi Arabia and the United States "direct and support such acts of terrorism against regional countries," Tasnim news agency reported.

The recent terrorist attacks and other hostile moves by the enemies cannot undermine the Iranian nation's resolve to continue fighting terrorism, Jazayeri said.
Top Iranian political leaders have gestured the United States and Saudi Arabia of being behind the recent twin deadly attacks in Tehran.

Assyrians MP in the parliament Yunaton Betkolia in a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Gutteres strongly criticized the UN’s silence vis-à-vis the recent terrorist attacks in Tehran.
Iran’s Assyrian MP criticizes UN’s silence on Tehran attacks, reported Islamic Republic News Agency (Iran).
“Unfortunately this is not the first behavior of its kind towards the bloodshed of innocent people by the terrorists in Iran,” Betkolia wrote in his letter.

He argued that how come the London terror incidents become top news, but they keep silent on terrorist attacks on Tehran and over 17,000 victims of terrorist incidents in Iran.

“How is it that the terrorist acts of Manchester, London Bridge and Paris should shake the world, but the same incidents no to bear any result,” the minority lawmaker said.
